ALL ABOUT US...
Our Cattery
Catori Coons will soon be a 100% Tica registered cattery,
after changing over from Fifè, and we are a member of the
cat club: Cats 4 Us in Germany.
 
The name “Catori” means Spirit, and is a Native American name from the East.
You put the name together with Coons,… and so it goes.
Catori Coons, –The spirit of Maine.
Our goal is to breed and raise healthy quality cats, with good features/type, strong bodies and muscles, and with the best personality and temperament.
All our cats are living together with us in our home.
They all take part in our daily routines.
The cats are free to go anywhere in the house, and if they feel for some fresh air,
they have our full permission to go out in the cat garden.
The beginning...
“-How can I say No?!?!?” I said.
With a stunning, huge female kitten in my arms looking up at me, with her big, yellow eyes, surrounded by her silky, bright white fur.
She was the most beautiful cat I had ever seen.
Of course we couldn’t say no to her…
Our first Maine Coon had come into our lives, and the big love for this fantastic cat breed had only just begun.
WHO WE ARE...
My name is Raquel Sagen. I am the one
who started this whole cat journey and later founded Catori Coons.
I have lived with and worked with animals for as long as I can remember. I have had it all, from tiny to big pets, and could not think of a life without animals around me...
My passion beside my own four legged family members, is helping out in Kennels founded for all the rescue dogs and cats.
I try to take part and give what I can, so that all of these animals are given a fair chanse.
-My dearest son Benjamin, who is now 13 years old and still a schoolboy. He has an enormous passion and love for all of our cats and dogs.
Benjamin has had different animals around him since he was born, and for him it`s a way of life....
He is so gentle and warm towards all our pets, and are handling them as they were made of glass...
Benjamin has always had a very special bond with all animals around.
His dream is to start up his own cattery one day. Starting up with his dream cat.... eh... Bengal hehe...
Benjamin is always the first to pick out names when we have kittens. He can sit for hours and look at the new born babies, and are so gentle with them and their mothers.
And when he has the permission to show the kittens to his friends, he is the most proud boy in the world...
Together with the Maine Coon cats, Benjamin has also a gorgeous "house-cat" called Thomas.
Benjamin is my little Rock and my big Pride and Joy.
Here she is. The new addition to our family.
-The beautiful Podenco Portugues girl called "Polly Pod".
She is around 10 years old, and we got her from the wonderful Shelter for homeless pets, Paradise Kennel in Spain.
Polly was used as a hunting dog, but since she had no interest in the hunting game, she was badly treated and after a while of terrible sufferings, she was kicked out on the highway.
She had no more to live for, and no more hope left when she was found.
For me it was "Love at first sight" the day I saw her.
She had to come to us.
She is now my dearest sister on four legs...
